Hi! Thank you for the review of the strop you wrote ;) Maybe first about the roughness and finish of the strop. The leather I use is not treated with dyes or aniline. Glossy cordovan is shiny because it has a finishing chemical applied to its surface. Such cordovan is several times more expensive than the one I use. You can buy strop made from glossy cordovan, which range from $200 to $300, compared to mine at $110 with a discount. it is not made from glossy Cordovan. It is made from crust Cordovan. Totally 2 different leather types.

As for the roughness, I had the same spot on my own strop that I made for myself (from the same cordovan piece). It doesn’t affect the stropping results. Regarding the creases on the strop— the photos I sent you showed that the belt had no creases on the surface. They might have appeared because DPD messed up the delivery. I’ve never had a package arrive to my client in the condition you showed...

In my opinion you can complain about it to DPD. As proof that it was ok you have the photos that I sent you ;)

So you dont use genuine shell Cordovan for your strop. You are using crust Cordovan instead which ist another part from the horseskin?

Did i geht it right?! Thank you

Thank you very much for your message. I would expect that the creases will disappear after using the strop for a certain time, that's not a big problem for me. My only real concern were the rough spots. If you say that they do not affect the result, it's fine for me too.

Stroping with it feels more comfortable than with my Boker. Less draw but you feel how the strop works. Great work, Dawid!

No, it’s the same element from horsehide and the same layer (superficial fascia), but it’s not finished the same way as glossy cordovan. Just like steerhide can be finished differently, it’s the same in this case. Even though it comes from the same part of the horsehide, it’s not the same leather. It’s a bit like comparing Latigo steerhide with Maya steerhide :)

I'm waiting for the integrated payment systems to be synchronized. As soon as I get information from the payment company, the store will be available

Guys, If anything is wrong with the belt, I am open to solving the matter in any case :) I cut each piece of leather myself and it goes through my hands many times. I would not release a product for sale that I am not sure about. The issue with the rivets from a few months ago was that I am not able to be responsible for the rivets, I just have to trust the manufacturer. I made improvements and now it is as it should be
