Hello everyone,
First, a brief apology: I'm English and unfortunately don't speak German. I used ChatGPT to write this post in German so I could ask for help here. You're very welcome to reply in German – I can have the answers translated.
I hope that someone here might be able to help me identify this unusual old travel shaving kit.
The set appears to be largely complete and includes, among other things:
120 / 150 / 220
The following is stamped on the underside:
DRGM
[unknown monogram/manufacturer's mark]
150 W.
1465
I haven't been able to identify the middle symbol yet. However, part of it looks quite clearly like a stylized "J" to me . Depending on the orientation, the other components could be read differently, so I don't want to claim that they are definitely specific letters. I've attached a photo of the embossing.
My current assumption is that there is an electric heating element inside the metal case, and that it may have been used to heat water for shaving. The 150 W rating appears to be the power consumption, while 120 / 150 / 220 likely represent different mains voltages.
However, that's just a guess – I would very much like to know what the electrical part was actually intended for.
I did not connect the device to the mains power supply and I will not attempt to do so with such an old electrical device.
The razor itself, as far as I can see, bears no manufacturer's markings.
Has anyone ever seen such a set before, or can perhaps identify the manufacturer's mark, the number 1465 , or even the manufacturer?
I am particularly interested in:
The set is currently located in England. As far as I can tell, many of the original components are still present.
Thank you so much for any help or advice – and once again, apologies for not speaking German myself!
Greetings from England,
Ed

The set appears to be largely complete and includes, among other things:
- a disassemblable open-tooth safety razor without any visible manufacturer's markings
- a shaving brush that can be completely screwed into its chrome-plated handle for transport
- a container with a shaving soap stick
- a small metal container for razor blades
- several old blade packets with the inscription "BLADE / LAME – Best Safety Razor – Made in Germany"
- a block presumably made of alum in its own holder lined with blue velvet
- a freestanding, foldable mirror
- a removable, blue velvet-covered insert for the individual parts

I am particularly interested in:
- the manufacturer
- the approximate year of manufacture
- the exact function of the electrical part
- a possible model or catalog name
- and of course all further information about this set
