Again, forgive me for giving this report in English, but some terms may not translate well auf Deutsch.
For those that admire the Feather AC blade in a safety razor, the Occam's Razor O.R.E.N sold by Classic Shaving is another one. As the name Occam's Razor implies, the original design was to make things as simple as possible where there were no moving parts and no assembly to load a blade. The original Occam's razor suffered in design by having the guard protrude too far out, and many (including me) had trouble getting a close shave. Within months, the Occam's Razor Enhanced Nano was introduced with a slightly different grip and a shorter guard. I recently purchased the O.R.E.N after swearing I would never purchase ANY Occam's Razor again.
The razor comes with three different top plates for three different aggressions of shaving. To change the plates, one needs a jeweler's Phillips screw driver and remove two screws under the head on each side. Then you would have to screw the new plate on while keeping things aligned. This part of the process does not live up to the name. To load the blade, you would just need to bold the blade in the middle and slide it in to the slot until it locks in place like the OneBlade. Also, like the OneBlade, the blade is designed to "float". I never liked that feature of the OneBlade, and like it less with this razor as the Feather AC blade was made to be rigid and not flex. Unlike the OneBlade, the head does not pivot.
My first shave, I left it on the two dot plate. The razor was easy to maneuver and felt balanced in hand. It got into tight spots easily, and in the end, I got a very comfortable two pass plus touch up BBS.
