Will hat heute per Newsletter angekündigt, dass die Produktion der B&M-Produkte künftig durch Stirling erfolgen wird. Außer dem Herstellungsprozess soll es aber keine Auswirkungen auf die Marke haben:

We have, after a year of planning, begun packing up the production lab for shipment to its new location. We've crated and packed most of the equipment and begun prepping the remainder of our materials for travel. I suppose this is as good a time as any to announce that Stirling Soap will be taking over production of all Barrister and Mann products once we come back online in a few weeks.

Rod and Mandy, the nice folks who run Stirling, are pillars of the community and renowned for their commitment to quality. If you have never tried a Stirling product, you should. To be absolutely clear, they will be using our formulas and methods to make our products, and there will be absolutely no change in performance or presentation once it has resumed production under their care.

We expect production to resume in a few weeks (I have to pay them a visit to teach them how to make our stuff), and will begin restocking everything on our site as soon as we possibly can. I'm really looking forward to visiting Arkansas and really excited to hand over my formulas to such a capable team!

Will hat heute seine Ankündigung über die Kooperation mit Stirling noch folgendermaßen ergänzt: B&M wird es weiterhin geben, nur die reine Produktion ist an Stirling ausgelagert, dabei bleiben beide Marken streng getrennt. Er wird auch weiterhin mit B&M als Vollzeit-Job im Seifenbusiness aktiv sein und neue Düfte kreieren.

In the wake of my announcement earlier this week about moving production to Stirling Soap, folks pointed out that I was a little less clear than I could have been. So I wanted to offer a few points of note regarding the move:

• I did not sell Barrister and Mann to Stirling. Apart from the fact that the soap will now be made at Stirling's facility in Arkansas, the two companies will remain separate. This is not an unusual arrangement; many cosmetics and shaving companies in the US have their products made by third parties. Most of them are just less transparent about it.
• I will teach the folks at Stirling how to make our products using our formulas, on our equipment, and with our materials. There will be no changes to formulation, to the bases used for our products, or to other any aspect of Barrister and Mann apart from the production location. Stirling products will not use Barrister and Mann bases/formulations either.
• We are not shutting down, nor are we leaving the soap business.
• Fulfillment will continue from Square1 in Missouri. Any orders that you receive from Barrister and Mann will come from the Missouri warehouse, not from Stirling.
• I will continue to compose and blend new and existing fragrances from my studio in Massachusetts. I am in no way separating from the company, and this will remain my full-time employment for the foreseeable future.

Möglicherweise sind die T&H oder die Harris vom gleichen Seifensieder.
Aber eigentlich ist mir das wurscht wer B&M herstellt.

Ja und nein. Die urprüngliche Fassung von 2021:

Aqua, Potassium Stearate, Glycerin, Potassium Tallowate, Potassium Kokum Butterate, Sodium Stearate, Polyacrylamidomethylpropane Sulfonic Acid, Cocos nucifera Fruit Juice (Coconut Milk), Potassium Ricinoleate, Sodium Tallowate, Sodium Lactate, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter, Tetrasodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Fragrance, Xanthan Gum, Theobroma grandiflorum (Cupuacu) Butter, Sodium Kokum Butterate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Potassium Cocoate, Saccharide Isomerate, Sodium Ricinoleate, Goat Milk Powder, Persea gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Sodium Cocoate, Althaea officinalis (Marshmallow Root) Extract, Ulmus rubra (Slippery Elm) Extract

Inzwischen sind Potassium Tallowate und Sodium Tallowate durch Potassium Palmate und Sodium Palmate ersetzt (ansonsten ist die neueste Sorte fast identisch, nur hier und da haben zwei benachbarte Zutaten die Reihenfolge getauscht).

Ich habe meinen Beitrag gerade eben noch ergänzt. Talg ist seit einiger Zeit durch Palmöl ersetzt.

Palmöl ist böse. Da würde ich immer PAA bevorzugen

Heute zum ersten Mal eine Reserve aufgeschlagen. Meiner Routine als Gesichtsschäumer kommt ihr wohl entgegen. Hatte überhaupt keine Probleme einen sehr schönen Schaum zu erzeugen. Ich nehme immer mit einem fast trockenen Pinsel die Seife auf bis sich eine Paste in Pinsel bildet. Dann im Gesicht das Ganze Anmalen und immer etwas Wasser dazu. Passt bei mir zu 99 %.
Der Schaum ist schön glitschig und auch das Post Shave Gefühl ist top. Ghost Lather im mittleren Bereich. Finde sie nicht schlechter als die Omnibus Base. Duft der Fern ist recht angenehm und nicht aufdringlich.
Bin auf die erste komplette Rasur gespannt. Die ersten Züge mit dem General waren vielversprechend.
