So heute die, von den unten angefügten Beiden für gut befundene Duft, HC&C Le Mafioso RS probiert - Duft erinnert mich irgendwie an Waffeln (durch die Vanille) - holzige Düfte nahm ich erst am ausgespülten Pinsel am Ende wahr - andere die gleiche Wahrnehmung?
Im großen und ganzen ein Gourmand Duft für mich.

Das Mafioso soll ja eine Homage an das Le Male Le Parfum von Gaultier sein. Den originalen Duft von 2020 kenne ich leider nicht, die Seife von HC&C riecht aber auf jeden Fall nicht schlecht. Kardamom, Iris, Vanille, Lavendel konnte ich aus der Duftbeschreibung aber noch nicht finden. Mal schauen wie der Duft sich aufgeschäumt verhält.

Zum Testtag habe ich heute auch direkt die Hendrix Classics & Co – Le Mafioso rangelassen.
Den Duft finde ich nicht schlecht und recht ausgewogen komponiert, aber auch nicht wirklich interessant. Mir ist er etwas zu flach, es fehlt eine Wow-Komponente (und sei es nur eine blaue Dose). Die Assoziation der Kollegen mit dem etwas vertrockneten Brot kann ich gut nachvollziehen. Der Geruch ist ja immer (im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes) Geschmackssache, und da holt mich dafür die Miami Nights mehr ab.
Vom Schaum aber hätte ich mir schon etwas mehr erwartet. Das fing schon damit an, dass die Seife überraschend wenig ergiebig war. Obwohl ich mich mit der Wassermenge sehr vorsichtig vorangetastet und fleißig aufgeschlagen habe, gelang mir dann die Konsistenz bis zuletzt nicht klebrig/cremig genug. Anschließend ist mir der Schaum auch recht schnell zusammengefallen. Immerhin, geschmiert hat er recht ordentlich, wenn auch hier ein gutes Stück Entfernt vom wirklichen Topniveau in meiner Skala.
Natürlich können solche Schaum-Probleme immer auch an mir selbst und Faktoren wie unserem harten Wasser, dem Luftdruck oder schlechtem Karma (z.B. durch fehlende Konzentration angesichts der sich umziehenden Nachbarin) liegen, weshalb ich die Proben gerne weiter testen werde.
Der erste Eindruck ist damit zwar solide, aber (noch) nicht überzeugend genug, um den Finger zucken zu lassen. Mit der Performance kann der Mafioso meinen Lieblingsseifen nicht ernsthaft gefährlich werden.

@Durdle McGurdle What the process is looking like so far is that the soap is shipped from Anticatura to someone who agrees to break it down and share. While working with the Dutch forum, I decided to offer the person who distributes the soap to get a free tub of soap for helping. I just contacted @Bavaria Blade to see which two tubs he wants for free as I'll send more samples soon.
If this way of doing samples works for the forum and folks are will to break down and distribute them, I'll happily send different soaps to try. I'll have scent cards fairly soon, which will make it even easier.
I understand that this group has traditionally done samples in the little sample tubs. I found a different way to handle samples that costs less for shipping. This group may not want to act in this manner which is fine, although I will share.

It's already in the works for The Netherlands. Is there a Swiss forum? or, is this forum what is mainly used.I just looked that up too. A shipping bag to Austria costs 6.50 from Germany.
Other question: Is 10 grams a good sample size? For me yes, because I can shave twice with it. With 4 ounces of soap, there are only 11 (me + 10
So I could send a sample for Germany for €2.90.
Maybe Pete will release several soaps? 1x Austria, 1x Germany,... The question is what about the other colleagues (Switzerland, Netherlands,...).

I pay twice the amount for most of our inspired by fragrances as I do for others. They are very high quality.Du schickst aber trotzdem beide jetzt im Herbst, oder?

Hi Everyone,
I just came across this thread. Several comments:
1. I'm grateful that folks want to check out our soaps.
2. I can make some samples if breaking down the tub is too much work. I want folks in the EU to get soap samples to experience our base. I'll have scent cards soon and they will be easier.
3. Did the Mafioso used for pass around have a metallic label? I made a batch of Le Mafioso with a less expensive fragrance and regular labels. I wasn't satisfied with it and decided not to launch it. The actual launch had the higher quality fragrance oil and metallic labels. In hindsight, I should have discarded the first batch, although wound up giving some away and selling some at 1/3 the price of the other.
4. I've read a couple of comments from folks who want a denser, creamier lather. I can change this if enough wants that. The advantage of this base is that it's incredibly easy to lather and 1/2 the amount of soap creates three times the lather of other soaps.
5. It matters to me that customers are happy with their HCC purchases. With the exception of the Le Mafioso with the non-metallic labels, our offerings have done very well in the US. I also understand that this is a different market. There may be cultural differences in scent preference. There may be other preferences that are stronger in Europe. The soap samples / scent cards are a good way to figure out what is needed. I'm more than happy to make product changes for the European market.
5. I'm easy to work with. If folks let me know what you want and like, I'll make every effort to accommodate.

Can members share which the HCC soaps you think will be popular with the members of this forum?
Many members of this forum did not like Le Mafioso. I am concerned about this and want to share more fragrances so I can learn what is popular. I don't want people to purchase my soap and then dislike the fragrance.
A good way to prevent people spending money on something they won't like is to have samples. Please share what you would like to sample.

For me the le Mafioso was like a Gourmand smell, maybe what you told is the reason, that the smell isn t that strong - I prefer the smell of the Miami nights - not too strong but very lovely.
