Nachdem hier schon ewig nichts mehr gepostet wurde, möchte ich den fast schon vergessenen B&M Strang mal wieder beleben.
Vor kurzem habe ich im MH zugeschlagen und mir gleich 6 RS von B&M von einem lieben Kollegen geschnappt. 2 davon fast voll und die restliche 4 kann man als üppige bis sehr üppige Proben bezeichnen. Nach 5 Rasuren in Folge und ausreichendem Schnüffeln an den Dosen möchte ich euch mein Fazit nicht vorenthalten.
PERFORMANCE
Gleiteigenschaften, Schutz, Pflege und die Perfomance in Summe ist mit Sicherheit sehr gut. Für mich gibt es aber noch oberhalb von "sehr gut" den Seifenolymp im dem sich nur knapp über eine Handvoll auserwählte Seifen tummeln und für besagten höchst subjektiven Olymp reicht es nicht ganz. Dafür ist die Gleiteigenschaft ein wenig zu gering und der Schutz vor der Klinge müsste auch noch einen Zacken zunehmen, das ist aber Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Besagte RS sind aber "ältere" Formulierungen und nicht die neueste Omnibus Base, die ja wenn man den Kollegen aus dem Dachs & Klingen Forum glauben darf noch besser ist.
Was noch auffällt ist, dass die Seife für eine Talgseife doch eher wenig Wasser benötigt. Aufschäumen selbst ist kinderleicht und der Verbrauch ist im mittleren Bereich.
DUFT
Sehr mutig und kreativ. Kann ein totaler Flop sein, aber auch ein echter Volltreffer. Generell finde Ich es schön, wenn nicht die gefühlt hundertste Sandelholz oder Lime Variante auf den Markt geworfen wird, aber der Duft ist halt auch ein Risiko.
Dazu kommt noch, dass ich mich mit den Duftbeschreibungen extrem schwer tue und eigentlich kaum ein Duft dem entsprochen hat was ich mir erwartet habe. Aber es gab auch sehr positive Überraschungen.
ZU DEN DÜFTEN SELBST
LEVIATHAN
Ich zitiere mal: Leviathan. The Biblical Serpent who will consume the world come the End of Days. We discovered the formula for an archaic, forgotten Russian leather accord and blended it with notes of sandalwood, coffee, cedar, and musk to create a dark, feral scent well-suited to its namesake.
Meine Interpretation: Mildes Sandelholz, ein Hauch Kaffee und dazu noch etwas Leder. Das "Dunkle" kann Ich nicht finden, was mich schon enttäuscht. Das Leder hat anfangs sehr gestört, mittlerweile geht der Duft für mich gerade mal so.
ROAM
The weather warms and the sweet breezes carry the call of the wild. If spring brings out the wanderlust in you, then Barrister & Mann has captured and bottled the scent. Notes of tobacco, grass, damp earth, & smoke evoke camping under the stars. Hints of musk and thyme give it nice finish. It's time to Roam.
Meine Version: Keine Ahnung was der da schreibt, ich rieche einen stinkenden Cowboy. Der Duft geht gar nicht, sorry! Rauch, Camping Feuer, Erde -> mehr rieche Ich nicht.

Meine Version: Hätte Ich nicht gekauft, klingt nach süßem Unisex Blümchen Duft. ABER: Geiler Duft, komplex, fruchtig und männlicher als erwartet.
BEAUDELAIRE
Beaudelaire is Barrister and Mann's much-loved (and recently re-released) fragrance that marries light and dark, sweet and bitter, clean and dirty, nice and naughty. It starts with the classic fougere accord known for its notes of lavender, oakmoss, and coumarin which give it a green, clean, fresh appeal. Then it is blended with Barrister and Mann's own recreation of Mousse de Saxe, a unique, richly bitter aroma of dusky, leathery, decadent charm. Meine Version: Sehr interessanter, vielschichtiger Duft der mich umhaut. Ein dunkler Fougere Duft mit einem Hauch Frische. Ausnahmsweise eine gute Beschreibung
FIRST SNOW
If you want a match for the famously intense New England winters, then you want B&M First Snow. Inspired by the snow-covered woods, this scent takes notes of leather (from a warm suede-jacket), fir oil (from the surrounding evergreens), and a kiss of menthol (from the lips of a special one sharing your trail).
Meine Version: Der erste Schnee in AT riecht offensichtlich komplett anders als in New England. Was Leder in einem Duft mit dem Namen erster Schnee verloren hat weiß Ich nicht. Überraschenderweise riecht das ganze aber trotzdem wirklich gut, man braucht aber ein paar "Schnüffler" um den Duft zu mögen. Ich gebe ihn nicht mehr her und kann Schnee und Leder gut rausriechen. Gekauft hätte Ich mir den Duft von der Beschreibung her aber nicht.
RAVISH

Meine Version: Einfach TOP, den Duft liebe Ich. Vanille, Sandelholz und viele interessante Hintergrundgeräusche die Ich nicht klar identifizieren kann. Bei diesen Düften besteht für mich immer die Gefahr dass es zu sehr ins Süßliche kippt, was hier sicher nicht der Fall ist.
Für mich ein toller Kauf im MH. Die 2 fast vollen Tiegel sind Ravish & First Snow und die wissen zu überzeugen!
Ich habe die B&M sehr früh kennen gelernt und dachte damals auch das es nichts besseres geben würde und diese Seife das Nonplusultra wäre, aber dann kamen etliche andere Artisans die ich um vieles besser fand.
